Day 3 and 4 of Lugnut's Daytona Speedweek Podcast Marathon. Maybe a podcasting first, Lugnut reports from beneath the backstraight grandstands just minutes before the start of Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race. Lugnut tells of his day at the flee market, which is located just west of the Daytona International Speedway. Next to the mic is many time winner Charlie Frisch and then Gregg McKarns presents Hugh Derey Memorial Award.

HTP 23: Jerry Gille - Rockford Speedway and NASCAR 2008 Illinois State Champion

We travel down to Rockford, Illinois to visit with Jerry Gille, the Rockford Speedway Late Model Champion and Illinois NASCAR State Championship winner for 2008. We sit on stacks of racing tires in Gille's race shop, as the ceiling lights buzz and the furnace runs on a cold night in November. Keeping it real, and talking racing. The 2008 championships, going to the NASCAR awards banquet in Las Vegas, Jerry's family involvement and dedication to racing, the ASA years, "blow-over" at Cedar Rapids, Chad Knaus, John Knaus, the Bilderbacks, Bobby Wilberg, Joe Shear,

HTP 22: Racing, Rain and Pancakes

Oktoberfest weekend of racing at the LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, Wisconsin, a track where the parties are as famous as the racing. This episode is the last day of a 4 day event, 2nd of 2 episodes. Lugnut and Barney break camp and head to the racetrack. They checkout the famous Sunday morning pancake feed, and get in some great racing action. A track where many present day NASCAR drivers and crew members honed their skills. (16m39s)

HTP #21: Oktoberfest Weekend of Racing

Lugnut and Barney enjoy the Oktoberfest weekend at Wisconsin's LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. "The Fest" is the years last major oval-track racing event in the Upper Midwest, featuring 19 classes during 4 days of high speed action. Besides racing, there are vendors, parties, kids events and a pancake feed. The boys of Hung Throttle report from the speedway, the campgrounds and their tent as they try to survive northern Wisconsin's cold nights.

NASCAR points leader Kyle Busch races at Madison International Speedway the night after contact with Dale Earnhart Jr in Richmond, VA. The Big 8 Series is also there on Wisconsin's Fastest Half-Mile Oval. 16 year old sensation, Michael Bilderback is interviewed by Cousin Rich.
