HTP 44: IndyCar at Chicagoland 2010

On this episode of the Hung Throttle Podcast, we take our listeners to Chicagoland Speedway for the Indy Car Series race held on Saturday Aug. 28th. We get to the track early and bring our listeners into the paddock, then up into the stands for the Indy Lites race. HTP 38: Hunnert Car Pile-Up

We attend the Hunnert Car Pile-Up in Morris, Illinois. It's a traditional style car show for 1964 and earlier rods and customs that are built in a fashion that represents that era. Only mags that are styled 1964 and earlier, no independent suspension on open wheel cars, etc. Rods and customs, rat rods, trad rods, lots of rust, wild paint jobs, rockabilly bands, vendors and lots of fun. An overflow of spectators led to some interesting altercations. Hope there will be a 2010 HTP, as there are rumors saying in could be the last.We talk to lots of interesting people, that include owners of a turocharged Offy powered Model A, a bomber inspired '37 Ford rat rod pickup, a Ford powered Henery J, a Model A Ford transformed into a extended cab pickup, a rat rod with a Pontiac dash, and a cool '54 Chevy custom. HTP 36: Test Track at Disney's Epcot


We are at the high speed Test Track ride at Disney's Epcot in Orlando, Florida. Test Track emulates a GM testing facility. Lugnut's car locks up as he takes the Test Track ride. Lugnut keeps recording as he and his fellow riders are taken back-stage and into the garage area. Lugnut takes a few photos before a cast member tells him he is in the official back-stage area and must turn off his camera. Check the Hung Throttle Flickr page to see the photos.
